Athena and Dylan met as High School Sweethearts. Inseparable until Athena had to move away. She was ill and didn't want Dylan knowing. Athena made up an excuse saying, she needs to go away for college. Athena didn't come back for two years. Dylan began to become hostile because he hadn't heard from his Mate.
Before she left, the two got wolf tatoos. She got one on her right shoulder blade. He got a sleeve on his left arm. Dylan wanted to be with Athena forever. So when she retuened, he'd know it was her by the tattoo.
While she was gone, Dylan created a dungeon for those who did "wrong" because he thought she died. He wanted justice.
