After all, part of dying is breathing in every moment, and she won't sit around moping when free wheelchair rides and late-night pizza runs with best friends are out there for the taking.
Taking care of herself may buy her more time, but what's the point of time if you're not making the most of it?
Cadence is her constant. Even when everything seems to be crashing down around her, Emma knows she can count on the pure love of best friends.
In this novel in verse, WriteTheBright explores the world of being, "the sick girl," but also the girl who loves science and her mom. It is a reminder that we are all more than our struggles.
