(Book 1 of the Healing Series)Tate Simmons is running from a bad past trying to forget everything that haunts him.
Megan Brooks hasn't had it easy ever since a freak riding accident caused her to lose the use of her legs.
Both seem to collide at exactly the right moment. Megan needs help on her families ranch as her fathers health deteriorates and Tate needs somewhere he can work hard and try to block the bad memories out from his mind.
Megan's grandma always called the family ranch "The Healing Ranch" and Megan has to agree as it healed her spirit after her accident. But can the ranch work it's magic on Tate or will he always be the hardened cow hand he now is? Will Megan be able to save the ranch or will it fall down the hole of bankruptcy?
Together can they find just what healing means and find that everyone, even girls in wheelchairs and cowboys with demons can find love?

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations for a twenty-four-year-old. While others her age might be in college or embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! Life is like a game of dodgeball. Sometimes it chunks things that you can catch and throw right back at it. Sometimes it throws things you can narrowly miss, feeling the wind from it whoosh against your skin. And sometimes, it throws things at you that you just can't dodge. "Sixty Seconds" is about Ainsley Vermont's journey while battling a terminal disease. She avoids following Doc's orders because she's convinced she's invincible. However, she knows what everyone around her will think about her once they know, so she hides it from everyone, trying to shut them all out. At the same time, she wants to keep her life as normal as possible. It's a little back and forth. She wants to keep people from getting hurt because she knows that they won't believe she isn't going to let this thing take her down, all the while living her life the same as she did before- just in hiding. She refuses to let the sickness get the best of her. So she keeps pushing people away and ignoring her health declination; the same thing every day, over and over again. Until she meets him.
