"I see her when I look in my mirror. I see her, when I look to the left side of my room. How can someone be everywhere, but nowhere? How is it fair that I'm here, and she's gone? We're the same, practically. So shouldn't I be gone, too?"

Jacqueline and Juliana Reading were identical twins, identical in practically every single way.

But in the summer going into their sophomore year, the Reading family receives terrible news: Juliana is dying from a rare disease, and there's no treatment. Throughout the next 8 months, Jacqueline struggles with the questions haunting her mind, her guilt from not being sick too, and ultimately, her grief in the demise of her twin. She's falling, and fast, and desperately needs someone to catch her. The only problem is, the one who has always caught her is the one who is the reason for her fall.
