Anika's disappearance shook the team to the core after saving the dream realm. Darcy is helped in adjusting to the academy despite everyone having a blazing hate for her so they can see she's actually a good guy.  Anika returns to start the third year at the academy but she wasn't acting right raising suspicion from her teammates and Nikita.  Nathan later in the headquarters attacks her and she reveals that somehow she's been turned into a vampire by a familiar enemy of Nate's, Strahd the vampire lord.  Working together with each other they find out Strahd's taken charge in Preston's home realm and the wizard reluctantly agrees to make the journey home to stop him.  The others follow but Anika has joined the side of evil so the team must rely on Darcy and Diablo for help to take her place temporarily.
