Almah Jefferson is built off lies. It started in fifth grade, and come middle school she promises she'll never lie again. But old habits are hard to break, and lies are coming easier than the truth. At the start of sixth grade the popular girls tease her about not having a boyfriend. So she tells them she's dating a boy named Harris Wilder. Cute boy supreme at Mason prep academy. They believe the lie for a little while, but they are suspicious. Then, her lies come crashing down. When her parents find out they are disappointed and promptly send her to Sierra academy. But something isn't right here, and Almah doesn't like it.
