Isadora's life was always a mystery to her. Why had she been given up for adoption and raised in a convent with nuns who deeply despised her? Why didn't any of the new parents coming through looking for a child to love want her? When would the voices in her head and the visions of large, scaled beasts and blue -hued people with these strange black markings on their skin disappear? No matter how many questions she had, not a single person had an answer for her- that is until Isadora makes one mistake and ends up finding out more than she could ever imagine. She begins to discover more about herself, her birth parents and how her slowly developing powers work, and why she was chosen to go on the quest to recover the princess, who had been kidnapped by the thought to be extinct Ballarion dragon race. 

Isadora is transported to the realm of Caelesti, a beautiful city which houses a training academy that teaches the chosen ones how to become Guardians, beings that protect the people of Caelesti from the six breeds of dragons that roam around the five realms.
