TJ Kippen is the head of his basketball crew at Grant, yeah sometimes they are the trouble makers but it seems like everything in his life is fine, that is until his "friend" finds some private information and uses it to blackmail, trying to escape this vicious turn he retreats to the library where he meets this decades of 80's movies fanatic Cyrus Goodman. And he is different then every other person in TJ's life, one that doesn't expect him to be tough or straight. He's Cyrus.

TJ Kippen is a misunderstood and so called "evil" 16 year old boy. Although the good hair crew have excepted him as their friend, Cyrus' wishes, no one else really sees him as the nice person he is. In his mind, everything is completely shitty. He has a shitty mom, a shitty dad, and an all around shitty life. The one thing he sees as perfect is his best friend, Cyrus Goodman. He truly loves Cyrus, in more ways than one. What makes his heart break is that he knows Cyrus isn't being treated well. TJ can see Cyrus is being abused, but Cyrus won't listen.
