There is something odd about the queer little town of Gablesfield.

Legend points out to sinister creatures prowling in the woods, but investigative resources regarding the double murder of three years ago, point to the town's residents.

Portia has a reason to fight against myths and superstitions everywhere, a passion which has stemmed from a dark past. Faeries and spooks belong to fiction and fiction only. Even in Gablesfield.

Taylor and Mouse have spent years trying to figure out the murders, which has led them to certain findings people do not want to talk about. Cayden has been running away from his own horrors, but fate works according to its own writ.

As reality crumbles and redefines itself, and the sinister run rampant, will the answers - so meticulously hidden by shadowy entities - finally be found?

In the small, isolated town of Briar Hollow, strange occurrences have begun to unsettle the once peaceful community. People are vanishing without a trace, and those who remain speak of eerie figures lurking in the dark, silent as shadows. The townsfolk are gripped by fear, unwilling to venture out after sunset. At the heart of the mystery is the abandoned Hawthorn Manor, a decaying mansion that has stood untouched on the outskirts of town for decades. Rumors swirl about its dark past, involving a family that mysteriously disappeared many years ago. Now, whispers of a curse draw curious outsiders and thrill-seekers, but none return the same-or at all. When 17-year-old Emily Weaver's best friend goes missing after daring to explore the manor, Emily is determined to uncover the truth. Armed with a mix of skepticism and desperation, she gathers a group of unlikely allies-each with their own reasons for seeking answers. Together, they delve into the chilling history of Hawthorn Manor, uncovering secrets buried deep within the town's history. As they piece together the puzzle, they discover that the manor is not just haunted by spirits of the past, but by an ancient, malevolent force that thrives on fear and darkness. The closer they get to the truth, the more dangerous their journey becomes, as the shadows seem to come alive, watching their every move. In a race against time, Emily and her friends must confront the source of the evil before it consumes them all, forcing them to face their deepest fears and uncover the long-buried secrets that could either save the town-or doom it forever.

The Medium

20 parts Complete

Seventeen year-old spirit medium Emily Chambers has a problem. Actually, she has several. As if seeing dead people isn't a big enough social disadvantage, she also has to contend with an escaped demon and a handsome ghost with a secret past. And then there's the question of her parentage. Being born an entire year after her father's death (yes, a year) and without the pale skin of other respectable English ladies, Emily is as much a mystery as the dead boy assigned to her. Jacob Beaufort's spirit has been unable to crossover since his death several months ago. It might have something to do with the fact he was murdered. Or it might not. All he knows is, he has been assigned by the Otherworld's administrators to a girl named Emily. A girl who can see and touch him. A girl who released a shape-shifting demon into the mortal realm. Together they must send the demon back before it wreaks havoc on London. It should be a simple assignment, but they soon learn there's nothing simple when a live girl and a dead boy fall in love. THE MEDIUM is the first book in the Emily Chambers Spirit Medium trilogy. Yes, that's *trilogy* - meaning not everything will be wrapped up nicely at the end of The Medium. There are 2 more books after it, both of which are published. Check out my website for details.
