Finding himself turned into a demon, Kyojuro struggles to piece together what happened to him between his final moments with Tanjirou and his present situation, he's accompanied by his messenger crow, Ren, and the mysterious stranger who saved him.

Trapped in a cabin on a mountain, he finds that his wounds from Upper Moon Three have had a far longer lasting impact on him, leaving him paralysed waist down. 

As the gentle snow fall beyond his window turns into a harsh blizzard, he finds himself trapped both by his physical condition as well as the freezing cold, and even in his dreams is he chasing after the silhouette of a figure cloaked in white.
