"You don't get to be angry with me," I snapped, shoving past him. But Silas moved faster. His hand caught my arm, yanking me back, and before I could even think to curse him, his mouth was on mine-furious, hard, uninvited. My back slammed into the wall, and I should've screamed, should've pushed him away, but all that rage between us burned too hot. The bond I didn't understand crackled under my skin like wildfire. My fingers curled into his shirt, pulling him closer before I even knew what I was doing. It wasn't soft. It wasn't sweet. It was teeth and breath and bruised lips. When he finally pulled away, his breath ragged against my cheek, I couldn't even look at him. Because the worst part? I wanted him to do it again. ----- Violet was never supposed to enter their world, let alone survive it. Claimed by a cursed hybrid alpha and trained to break the spell that binds him and his people, she becomes something far more dangerous: desired. The Things You Will Never Know
If you go down to the woods today... Well, in this town, you probably won't come back. Unexplained deaths and disappearances are normal around here. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us. We never talked about the night we ran in the forest, never spoke afterwards at all really, but now we're going to need each other if we're going to survive what's coming. Me and those boys I've loved all along. - - ‐ - - - - - - - - - - - - - Our town is haunted. The five of us are cursed. And Halloween is just around the corner... Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.Complete

My Last Breath (Book one of The Portal Series)
BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. Yet, there I went escaping from the only place I knew existed in the world. Being held captive was too much for me, especially when these people wouldn't tell me who they were or even who I was. The first moment in my life I recall very clearly. I awoke in a dark room, with recollection of everything that happened in the world except for one thing. I had no memory of myself existing, I didn't know where I was or why these men kept me from leaving. Days after I first woke I asked plenty of questions, and yet none of them were answered. The only thing I learned was that I was not allowed outside because the woods heald the most powerful magic on the planet, the most dangerous magic. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.Complete
