All Jessica Owens wants in life is to have it good. She dreams to have a successful career as a feature writer in a good newspaper, to have a loving boyfriend, and maybe a cozy apartment that she could enjoy with a cute dog.

But at 25, she was fired from her dream job, her 5-year boyfriend turned into an abusive bastard, and she feared that a few months later, she'd be out in the streets homeless.
