Marcel runs way from her imprisonment with her somewhat enemy Verena. Hated from the deep black roots of their blood. They were once loved by the gods, but soon many lost their powers, slowly causing the extinction of their blood. Only Marcel was sparred by the gods coincidently.

They escape with the intentions of surviving, but Marcel's unusual looks and strong presence catches the eyes of a very curios nobleman makes Mr. Maddox. He hides their black blood, and enrolls her in a promising school in hopes of making her a mage. Giving them a life when they were in astray to their future.

Though he isn't the only one to be intrigued by her, the prince of the uprising kingdom is also. The nobles children question her background and curios personality. All she wants is to work hard and become a mage so she can make Verena proud of her. So she can reclaim the pride her people once had. So she can live up to the expectations of Mr. Maddox

With that goal and Prince Stephen in mind she goes through the lights of the world she never met, but imagined. Of course everything won't be magic and learning. Not everyone believes she's as innocent as she is. Love rivals and suspicious nobles arise as well.
