Shank was a Sociopath. She had no compassion, no guilt, no consideration to others.
She believes herself unique. She, unlike most sociopaths, has a long-standing job. Albeit, it is one of her own creation and mostly entailed backstabbing and trails of blood.
Shank's mindset and perspectives were very questionable. Why is human flesh so flammable if it's not meant to be burned? Why are hearts so delicate if they aren't meant to be crushed under your boot? She'd always had psychopathic tendancies along with her sociopathic ones.
When people come knocking on her door for her help, Shank needs to decide whether she accept or deny them her help. Or, of course, she could have a little fun...
