We were born to a sick mother
One we loved like no other
We were born to a dying father
Who's red flames lashed at her

We tried in vain to cure her
But alas, our cure put us to fire
We tried to shield her from his flame
But seeing his rage it was all in vain

We were forced into a steel cell
Because our mother felt unwell
We saw the skies turn red with time
We worked for centuries to turn the tide

We worked in a group of five teams
Using Physics to hold up life's B.E.A.M.
Physics shows us the universe's laws
Biology shows the universe inside us all

Education is how we stay sane
Architecture is how we stay ingrained
Medicine is how we fight off strife
All five components combined fight for life

In time our father's temper grew worse
And our Angel responded in due course
At the dawn of night when he comes for us all
The angel will come to save us from his fall

Though we may have lost our mother to Andromeda
To all of space: We Are the Children of Arcadia

New York was doused in rain. A category five hurricane touched down out at sea. An underwater earthquake followed; tectonic plates shifted; water was sucked away from the shorelines. Warnings were sent to surrounding coastal cities. A hospital in Manhattan remained unaffected. There was no panic in the air and a bubble of safety around the building. Nurses chatted as they worked, talked about the rain, talked about the storm, talked about the beautiful, haunting newborn in room 316 whose heart worriedly stuttered anytime he was away from his mother. The room was quiet. The mother slept. The baby, born too late for mortals but too early for anything else, was awake, staring at the ceiling from his cocoon of wires and blankets. A drop of water ran from the faucet, and as it hit the sink it formed. A Greek God, ancient and old, powerful and wild, condensed into the form of a mortal. He looked fondly on the woman, before stepping to the cradle and looking down at his son. Cresting waves met the depths. "Hello Perseus," Poseidon, the Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses, rumbled, his voice layered with blessings and ancient rites. "Welcome to the world, μικρός μου Πρίγκιπας των Θαλασσών." #676 Science fiction on January 9th 2018 ~~~~~~~~ Sometimes, every now and then, a scientific experiment works. And, if it works, a small percentage of the time, the subjects are let loose, given a certain freedom they had never experienced. And that's what I had now. Freedom. After around ten years of making sure my neural system was intact, the metal surrounding me grew with my body and the batteries didn't poison my immune system, I was given the option of getting out of CARESS, also known as Centre of Adolescents in Rehab after the Effect of Scientific Surgery, and live a normal life. Well, as normal as it could get for a teenage girl with giant metal wings stuck behind her back. ~~~~~~~~ "You remind me of Maleficent... But with blue wings... And definitely more badass." "Who?" " You know, the girl that poisoned Sleeping beauty?" "I repeat. Who?" "We are so watching that. Now." ~~~~~~~~ A novel full of romance, hate, humour and a hint of drama mixing into one great big story of life changing events and thrilling moments. ~~~~~~~~ This is a complete story, except if you are viewing it in the first few months of 2018 due to the fact that I didn't want to post it all at the same time. If it is not complete, updates will be posted every Monday and Friday. Enjoy! ~~~~~~~~ I go throughout my errors before I post, but if you do see some, or think something could be said in a better way, I'm always open to suggestions! ***CONTAINS SWEARING***

Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)

The Chronicles of Earth and Time

22 parts Complete

Unbeknownst to humans, there is an invisible world just beyond their own where Mother Nature and Father Time work together to keep the earth in balance; however, when a prediction is made that a threat to their world will rise, its up to Mother Nature's daughter, Terra, to stop it. Preview: "Aqua!" Terra cried as she ran to her badly injured sister. She quickly fell to her knees and cradled her sister in her arms. Her whole body was littered with burns, cuts, and bruises. It looked as if she had beaten to a pulp. Her eyes began to flutter open. She gasped and tried to get away from Terra until she realized that it was Terra. "Terra?" Aqua croaked out in a hoarse voice. "Yes, Aqua, it's me. Don't worry I will get you out of here." Terra reassured as she began to gently help Aqua sit up. "Terra, where is Aura?" Aqua asked in a raspy voice. Terra paused and thought for a minute. Where was Aura? "I don't know. She actually led me here, but I don't know where she went." Terra admitted as she looked around for Aura. "Does she have anything to with what happened to you?" -This story is not edited so please excuse the mistakes for now. Thank you for reading!!!
