It's been centuries since the Great War ended. Yet, the divine fallout from the death of godlike entities continues to plague the World of Taldania. Aftergods, or the Shadows of the Fallen Gods, were too powerful to be completely banished. Bereft of the guiding conscience possessed by their former selves, these entities rampage across the lands, causing wanton destruction.

Only the self-proclaimed God Hunters, an independent organisation of skilled fighters, magicians and inventors, claim to be able to put an end to this threat. Yet, the people do not believe them, seeing them as nothing more than greedy liars who possess only pretty words and useless weapons.

Khalfinge Meir, heir to the Blade of Fire, is utterly convinced that he will be the one to lay low these creatures. My name is Tyrune Ebonick Ixius Stryx, and I am the last of the Quartari Sorcerai, an all powerful race that has all but been wiped out. I am currently a fugitive on the run, desperately trying to protect my life and the lives of an entire planet that is slowly and inevitably marching towards its own destruction. A formidable cabal of swordsmen known as the Secret Swords has rallied against me, seeking to capitalise on my demise. They best get in line, for the Rubikron are determined to imprison me again, and I will be damned if that happens. In an age now past, the planet was hovering on the brink of annihilation by a being of boundless evil known to its disciples as The World Eater, Kravos. Its resurrection eradicated the sun, a confinement by deities no more. That all changed when a band of crusaders came together to defeat Kravos and bring back the sun. {[Completed]} Book 1 of the Fate Series They were never quite accepted. Never fit into normal life in Tal'Dorei. They were never quite right. Then they found each other. A roaming group of misfits. They were never trained to get caught up in this though. They might be stronger than average humans, but no they weren't paid enough for this shit. They were there though. They were fighting it though. Not because they wanted to, but because they had to. They were caught up in another draw of strings. Would they be the next lines to be cut on The Fates strings? They didn't know. All they knew was that they were another group caught up in another of Fate's Hymns. *So, while I do not like to do this, I have decided to abandon this story. As well as it's sequel. There are a multitude of reasons for it, which will be explained in the most recent chapter that I just published. But this story has been completed, but it's sequel has not, and I have no plans to complete it as of now.*

Imilaris in a largely unknown world with a small pantheon of young gods. Hoping to create their Utopia, they took humans and made them more than what they were previously. Magic, power, beauty, all the things people covet were granted to them from their gods. But there would always be someone wishing to have more. In their pursuit of greed, people built gates, some of which lead to laces that should not be visited. The Utopia build by gods gets invaded by demons and gods struggle to overcome their invasion. Their success is limited, confining the demons to the eastern part of their world. Twenty odd years ago, a Demon Lord rose up and once again upset the balance of the world. With another invasion, he conquered the world and eradicated the most magnificent race in the world and robbing their goddess of her people. Soon after, the Demon Lord is betrayed, his empire crumbling. The goddess is on the brink of death, the last princess of her people enslaved and abused and with no way to help her. Now, the princess gives birth to something new, a union of light of the gods and demonic scourge. A demon, strong and powerful, cruel and awesome. A greyskin.
