Percy was still too far away to hear, to know what was happening, and likely he wouldn't care. Annabeth's breath caught in her throat and the crowd faded, the voices just white noise. There was only Percy, his hair shaggy and swept to the side, his mouth drawn up in his troublemaker smile. Her body ached to return to him, he was so close. But if she was right, that would be a deadly mistake. Annabeth turned back to Jason. "You sold us out didn't you." "There's only one way to end the schism, Annabeth," Jason said. His remaining eye gleamed. "The Greeks must be wiped out." Reyna raised her hand. "Seize them." "Jason!" Piper cried as two legionaries grabbed her arms. "How could you!" Annabeth grit her teeth but didn't struggle. They couldn't win this fight. And the worst part? She totally saw it coming. This is an au where Jason turns the Greeks over to the Romans instead of cooperating, and the resulting conflict ensues. Can the Greeks and Romans work together? Or will they both be torn apart in the end. The Fallen Hero (Percy Jackson x Avengers Crossover)
The only one who ever called was Jason. He had broken innocent Hazel's heart. Frank was disgusted by him. Nico hated him...but he always new that. Piper had better things to worry about. No one knew what had happened to Leo. And Annabeth...she didn't know. She could never know. He had made sure of that. Percy Jackson is in trouble; he did a good thing, or at least, so he thought at the time. And if he had the chance to go back, he would do it again. But maybe differently next time. He would find a way. So that no one had to get hurt...no one had to die. A/N: I know I said this is a crossover, and it is, however the main part of the story revolves around Percy, because...well, just because. But mostly because Percy is Percy. I wanted to write an interesting PJO x Avengers fanfic with angst and drama and adventure, but without all the "everyone is dead and Tony is Percy's uncle" plot.
