The Ulfric's Mate

Mateless. As a male one is due to go mad without the control having a mate offers. As a female one is less violent but emotionally crippled. Upon the first shift their mate is deemed either dead or non existent by their inner wolf.

With the population of werewolves already at an all time low, having an Alpha shift only to be mateless might as well be a death blow to any pack. What could be worse? Try having said mateless male being of the Lycan sub race, and one of the most feared creatures in supernatural society, and that is just the beginning.

For Alexander Kaine he has beat the odds. His wolf refused to back down from an alpha position when he was deemed mateless. Instead, his wolf rebelled against the death sentence.

Thus, a monster was born. The most ruthless Alpha alive, became a king among Alphas, an Ulfric. Under his rule, packs are stronger than they have been in years against hunters, and more peaceful with one another if only from fear.

Time is however not on his side, and while rivals salivate at the thought his inner circle prays for a miracle.

For a mate to be born after their mates first Shift is more than unlikely, it is unheard of. The alpha could always try a choice mate, but the stronger the wolf the harder it is for a choice mate to be accepted- but what choice do they have but to try.

Seeking out a mateless female, Alexander gets the shock of his life. His mate does exist?
