A girl who doesn't exist.

After the brutal murder of her parents when she was fifteen, Natalia Frey ceased to exist. Ten years later, she now has a life for herself under an assumed name. In the small town of Carravar, Montana, she's happy and content with her pleasantly ordinary life. After all these years, Lee has finally found peace. Until Logan Henricks crashes into her life.

A boy who doesn't remember.

Nobody can quite figure out Logan Henricks. As the latest resident in their tight knit community, the whole town is looking forward to unveiling the mystery of the man who lives in the old Wesley's cabin in the woods. As bodies start dropping along with Logan's arrival, the peaceful life in Carravar turns into one of fear and suspicion.

One enemy.

I am here.
After years of hunting, I'm finally here..
The prey doesn't know.
I'll toy with it a bit.
When it is scared and cornered with nowhere else to turn to, that's when I'd jump.
And this time, I won't miss.
It's the hunt.

**3RD PLACE WINNER OF THE 2017 CRAYON AWARDS** Third place winner of the 2017 Lilac Awards From the beginning, I knew what I was in for. I knew that this scenario would end one way or another. I wasn't stupid. Nobody put a gun to my head and forced me to play this game of cat-and-mouse. But I will say, I never pictured that this would occur. I stood there, my brother's silver Smith and Wesson in my hands, directing it at my deadly target. My eyes bore into his, his indicating no sign of emotion, while mine were filled with horror. "It's you," I said, my voice unsteady. He took another step closer to me, his hands in the pockets of his trench coat. A malicious grin formed upon his face. His signature expression. "Surprise," he replied before sauntering forward to finish what he started six months ago. ♠♠♠ Six months after Skyler Williamson is abducted and tortured in the woods by a serial killer, she deals with the repercussions of her unfortunate ordeal. Crippling anxiety, the results of unknown misfortunes, bubble up to the surface and rest in the foreground of her mind. And Skyler's prescribed medication can only help to a certain extent. When two teenage girls turn up dead, Skyler finds it is up to her to catch the man who's behind all of this... A town with no history. A girl with no name. An end with no beginning. My oldest memory of this place was blurry. It faded in and out of my dreams and subconscious. The details edges had been rubbed smooth long ago, but the feeling of complete and absolute terror had remained as distinguishable as the day it happened. fifteen or so years back... That fear has always kept me grounded to the forest that isolated me from the rest of the world. It kept me safe from whatever I had to run away from. Tricking me into thinking what was best for my survival, was to stay hidden. But when dangers from the outside seep into the safe haven I had created, all sense of security shatters. Suddenly the safety net is gone, and other people exist again... Some that had definitely thought I was dead. (as of 2/25) Hello! I have been writing this book for like 6 years and some parts may be iffy. I still have to finish and revise the final draft, but it is very close to being done. The plot and story beats will remain the same from here, while details may be subject to change in the final edit. If you enjoy a good mystery (and romance), I would ask you to please consider reading. Thank you so much!)
