Eliza and Max Shorm are twins. Their Father died a week before they were born and their mother died right after they were born. A group of scientist decide to preform an experiment to see how different they turn out in different circumstances. They get split up into 2 different families. Max goes with the Corners a rich family that lives in a big mansion. Eliza goes with the Flores a middle class family that lives in the country on a farm. Neither of them know that the other one exists. Until one day they meet each other at  Ester Pine Academy a school for kids with special powers.
