Esma is a good girl, she has never done anything in her life remotely wrong. It kept her from dealing with police but cost her since her friends never invite her to things she'd like go to. James on the other hand was a teen gangster since he's only known that lifestyle. His dad was a deadbeat, his momma was unable to work due to her inability to walk straight. Than the time he turned 16 he lived and thrived by the streets to make it for his family. Now he's the baddest of them all leading a gang at the age of 16 and now he's 18 and his gang more than quadrupled in size. He made his family happy and that's all he wants no matter what the cost is.
Esma wanted to show her friends that she can hang loose. It lead her to James while wondering down the halls in school. She quickly pulled him aside asking for his help which he graciously accepted but it came with a price which she needed to complete after the deal has been concluded
