You know what I take great pride in?

Well, of course you wouldn't know.

After all these years, I still only know so little.

But when my fingers begin hitting the key-board, typing away a newly envisioned rough draft at one o'clock in the morning with an early morning lecture in the horizon, I know what I'm supposed to.

I know I'm doing what brings me joy; creating a story.

And this realization of my own great perhaps was brought to me in the most unexpected place, a celebration in fact.

My fifth-grade graduation.
