Torchwood was established by Queen Victoria in response to alien threats to the Earth and Empire. When Miriam Blaustein, a Torchwood operative from the 21st century is sent back in time by a Weeping Angel to live out the rest of her life in Victorian England, she thinks all hope is gone.
However what she probably didn't expect was to be a member of the founding Torchwood team and be a rival to the Queen's Guard Dog.
