"There is so much at stake that I'm afraid to lose, I'm not sure I can handle it if I fail," I say, the emotions inside of me twisting and turning, readying themselves to be used but warm hands encased mine, forcing me to hold them back.

Freed from an institute that used people like her for their own selfish gain, Athena took it upon herself to reinvent the place that once brought her so much pain and suffering. She is now the leader of this new Aeterian facility, taking in powered people like her, growing in numbers and trying to live the way they've wanted to for so many years, but as usual, nothing great lasts forever.
