Angelina Elise Donnelly has just begun her summer as a freshly graduated senior. She's a blossoming young star who wants more than anything to get her chance at making it big in Hollywood as a singer. When her Aunt Joyce, a successful fashion designer, visits her family in Cleveland, an opportunity arises for Angelina to go to New York City where she'd be working alongside her aunt on 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙯 film set.
Angelina soon becomes acquainted with the one and only Michael Jackson, her teen idol. Both of the young souls, shy, yet filled with an unbridled passion for becoming something bigger than themselves through their art, unlock a fast comfort in each other.
Star-stricken and optimistic, life appears dreamy at first. But, reality soon makes itself comfortable in Angelina's palms. From unreciprocated feelings, on-and-off stage scandals, breakups, family secrets, triumphs, and tribulations, it all comes to a head one rainy evening after Angelina and Michael bare their souls to each other.
The young woman soon comes to realize she's losing her grasp on the intense feelings she's harboring, and with Michael in the passenger's seat, dynamics become stormy and serpentine. With only a few days of her internship left, Angelina has to get a hold of herself and choose between stepping into her future or risk getting caught up and lost in the wildness that New York has to offer.
