a time of everlasting frost, bringing with it dangerous beauty and the icy touch of death.

A kingdom always within winters grasp, it's inhabitants creatures of snow and frost. The Unseelie Faeries are malicious beings, known for their tendency of war. The ethereal lands of the fae have been at peace, for a time. The folk have become nothing but mere legend to the mortals now, tales of the Mortal War told as mere myths.

The humans grow closer and closer to the borders of Elfhiem, the home of the faeries. King Oberon has united the Seelie and Unseelie court after the Seelie Queens death. After the Mortal War, he changed. Whispers carried on the wind of how his heart turned to ice. His son, Osiris Oberon, killed on the battlefield, lured away by a mortal lover. Leaving only Osiris's twin sister, Azrael. The kings last remaining kin, and his champion.

Until Azrael comes across a boy in the forest, with golden eyes and the scent of a half-ling. Baring the mark of the dead Queen, bringing with him unrest within the fae of Elfhiem. With another Mortal war brewing on the horizon; will the half-ling be accepted into the realm of the folk? Especially by that of the kings general, who's hatred for humans runs as cold as ice through her veins?
