A slow, dystopian thriller that evolves into a gripping, violent sci-fi nightmare. --------- Alice has a good life: a great job, a cozy, paid-off apartment, and a loving husband. She also has an oppressive government, a war-torn city, and general social decay around her, and what seems to be an alien invasion, though nobody is willing to admit it. You know, the kind of things that can really throw a wrench into a morning commute. She should have left a long time ago, but right or wrong, it's her country. What's the worst that could happen? No, seriously, what's literally the worst? ------ It starts as my lightest and most melancholic work, but will end up the heaviest -- expect constantly rising tension as we go from moody dystopia into politics and philosophy into bdsm and violence, and into... oh well, read it. Overarching themes: evolution, adaptation, duty, freedom, metal music. The first 10 chapters are a clean, dystopian, political story. From 11th chapter on, wheels come off. I tried to make it sound universal; still, you can figure out approximately when I had it first outlined. Warnings (from chapter 11 on): violence, attempted SA, dubcon, smut. ----------- If you are reading this story on any other platform other than Wattpad you are very likely to be at risk of a malware attack. In the 17th century, desperate humans forged dangerous pacts to survive the wrath of supernatural beasts. The Kingfisher family made the boldest deal of all: eternal protection from the Primordial Werewolf King-the first and most powerful wolf born from moonlight and chaos. In exchange, the king could one day claim a bride from their bloodline. Generations passed. The pact was forgotten. Until Kara Kingfisher was born. Blind from birth yet kind-hearted and unshaken, Kara lives a quiet life behind her white veil. But on the night of her twenty-first year, the Redmoon Palace trembles as the Primordial King returns to collect his debt. And this time, he chooses Kara-the girl no one thought he would ever desire. Whisked away into a palace where humans are sacrifices, servants, or playthings for immortal wolves, Kara's presence sparks unrest. She is the first and only bride ever chosen by the king, and his obsession with her ignites fear, envy, and whispers of prophecy. But Kara is no ordinary bride. Her touch awakens ancient bloodlines. Her words curse kings. And when her blind eyes are finally opened, she sees not only the world-but the terrible power inside her. Caught between the dark devotion of the Werewolf King and the dangerous fascination of the Vampire King, Kara must decide whether to remain prey in a world of predators... or rise as something greater. The moon has chosen her. The blood remembers her. And the night will never be the same.

Give me a sign, I want to believe. (Brendon Urie x Reader)

10 parts Complete

Brendon Boyd Urie was a citizen of a small town during the victorian era. He lived his life normal and peacefully. He was a rather royal citizen and was married as soon as he reached adulthood. To his "luck" his wife Mary only wanted the money for her own good. After a few years of marriage she had enough of sharing it and killed Brendon with poison so no one would suspect a thing. During his last moments Brendon wrote a little letter that read: "Mary did it!" He could only hope that people would find it. A few days later was his funeral. Nobody knew why their beloved friend or family member had died in such a young age but they could find anything. During the funeral Brendon found himself being in the same room as all the others. He wanted to yell and tell everybody that Mary killed him but nobody reacted. Well nearly nobody. One girl did. It was one of the maids. ♤♡◇♧ A new fanfiction in which you will be the maid. You will be the only person who's able to see and hear the ghost of Brendon. Both of you need to find a way to relive him. The last step will be to show the crowd the piece of paper but who will know if you even come that far and if you do, what will happen after that with you two? Time will tell.
