It was around 150 years ago, when a war broke out among the 8 Eeveelution kingdoms. It was started by the Jolteon kingdom, as a war between themselves and the Vaporeon kingdom. The other kingdoms, excluding the Umbreon kingdom, joined sides with the Vaporeons, and nearly wiped out the Jolteon species completely. The Espeons mined out most, if not all of the thunder stones nearby, and hid them away. That was 150 years ago now. Jolteons are an incredibly rare sight these days. The other Eevees and Eeveelutions have been taught over the years that Jolteons are evil and soulless, and that evolving into one will change your mind for the worse, as well as being a sin against Arceus. Now, about 6 years ago, a couple exploring an old mine discovered one of the very few remaining thunder stones. They brought it home with them, but not without being spotted. Just a week later, they were forced to run away to protect their son from being discovered. They left both him, and the thunder stone behind. Now, 6 years later, there's a certain shiny Jolteon who's about to go on a journey. What may happen along the way? (This is the rewrite of Inside and Out. Some parts may be reused from the original.) A - Leaf is not replaced by Lyra, both characters are different in their own ways. I wanted to get Leaf out of the picture for a different kind of character growth. Lyra is Red's cousin sister, with Red being an experienced trainer, he acts like a mentor to her. Q - So time travel happens in this one? A - It does, and its fun how it plays out. Q - Who is this Masked Man? There was a masked man in the manga too. A - While the idea was original, a mystery man who structures every Team Rocket plan and assists Giovanni. I was shocked to see that the manga had someone named "Masked Man" as well. Q - Who is this Masked Man? And why is he important? A - A mystery man controlling every aspect of a criminal organisation and has been the true mastermind of Giovanni's every plan? Sounds pretty important to me. As for his identity, I was very unsure if I was ever going to reveal it as it was not very important at first until the second book was coming to an end.
