My name is John Hamish Watson. I was an army doctor in Afghanistan, but returned to London a couple of years ago on account that I was shot in the left shoulder. I became flatmates with Sherlock Holmes, who had declared himself the world's only consulting detective. He was standoffish, sarcastic, sociopathic, and incredibly intelligent and observant. We became best friends. I would go with him on cases that Scotland Yard couldn't figure out for the life of them, and would be astounded as Sherlock used the simplest of clues to solve the case. I wrote down every detail of the cases as Sherlock solved them, and I have now put them in short story form. Sherlock calls it the science of deduction, I call it The Deduction of Holmes.
