I heard it all,
People think just because you don’t speak, you don’t hear. As usual, people are wrong.
I had been paying attention since the moment Demi Lomato, or whoever the hell she is, walked through the prison-like doors of the rehab that me and the other screw-ups inhabited.
That’s right, I live in a rehab.
So while my fellow residents mobbed Demi like she was some angel sent to save us all, I hung back, awaiting for it to all return to normal –not that my life has ever been anything near ‘normal’- But as Demi’s eyes locked onto mine I realized things were about to change.

*TW* Contains topics and scenes of sexual assault, self-harm, abuse.* "You know you loved every second of it," I can feel the tears welling up as well as the anger building up within me. I stare at him for a while before I have to turn away from his hungry gaze. "Look I just came here to tell you that I forgive you for what you did back in Cali and I'll take you back," "You forgive me?" I yell. "I did nothing to you. You raped me! You fucking raped me! You have no right to come here and tell me that. You. Forgive. Me. You traumatized me. What you did to me tore me up inside and was eating away at me until I tried to kill myself. And when I told people they didn't believe me. I had to listen to so many people talk about how great a guy you were and how I clearly just regretted sleeping with you. You are a monster. You made me hate myself for something that was never my fault. You have caused me so much pain and suffering," I pause to take a deep breath. "So you don't get to come here to my school and tell me you forgive me. You don't get to make me feel bad about coming forward. The only thing I regret is ever thinking you were a good person." _____________________________________________ Logan Young is a 16-year-old girl about to start her senior year in a brand new town. What would you do if the only friend you ever had left you one day, in the blink of an eye? What would you do if they made you a promise that all your dreams would come true, but left before you were old enough to do anything about it? What would you do if all their dreams came true, all while you were stuck in a dead end town with no possible way of escape? Demi was just a normal, small town girl from Tupelo, Mississippi. When she was just 9 years old, her best friend left her to move to Memphis, Tennessee. 10 years later, he was the biggest thing in rock and roll. And she was stuck in her new home of Dallas, Texas, with nothing but her dreams and a few friends to keep her hopeful and happy. Elvis Presley never imagined he would be as big a star as he became. But he was never able to enjoy his immense popularity and success, because he'd always felt a part of him was missing. And when he returned to his birthplace of Tupelo, Mississippi in 1956, he was told she'd be there, waiting to see him. But, sadly, he found she'd moved on a long time ago. For years Elvis wondered what had happened to the sweet little girl he grew up with, the one he truly left behind. Then, in the spring of 1960, upon returning home after a two year stint in the army, Elvis received a letter that would help answer every question he'd been asking for near enough the past decade.
