The trees barren bodies hunch over the long and narrow pathway as rain poured down form the heavens. The sound of leaves crunching under their feet is noisy and the beat of their heartbeats are blaring in each other's ears. A loud bang of thunder shook the ground as the boys saw the front of the haunted house.

An eerie silence echoed through the house at the end of Yellow Brooke Street, the wind outside slammed toward the wooden walls making a whistle inside the house from the cracked windows; the front door made a thud each time it slammed toward the wall and the screams from the dead gave the house an uneasiness to it. I stood before the house, while my friends were excited to do the exact opposite of what our parents told us to; I was not. I trusted my mother when she told us to never get close to this place. "You guys ready?" Diana said with joy in her voice, I stuttered. "No.." the fear in my voice was obvious, though no one seemed to care. Dan glanced at me and chuckled. "Really? It's just a house."
