Dark Waves

Katie Kendrick is running from a dark past that's hunting her down. After growing up in an unconventional household, a betrayal leads to her and her younger sister's placement in the witness protection foster care system. As if losing everything they once knew wasn't enough, their social workers decided to separate the girls to increase their safety and ensure they wouldn't be found.

Katie struggled for years to keep her head above the dark waves that kept pulling her down, but one tragedy after another eventually started to weaken her resolve. After several relocations, Katie was placed in the care of the Kendrick family and her life finally started looking up. With their love and dedication to seeing her succeed, Katie survived countless heartaches, a dangerous breakup, and a loss that had her contemplating whether or not it was worth it to keep fighting at all.

Now at the age of 19, she's forced to relocate one last time, but this time she's headed to college. Having no idea what to expect, Katie is thrown into a chaotic freshman year. Her reluctance to trust others is put to the test when she's confronted with parties, romantic encounters, and a past that isn't quite willing to let her go.

Can Katie escape the dark waves, or will they inevitably pull her under for good?
