Young, unknown of what fate could bring. Used to be best friends. because of one thing and one thing only .Betrayal. Noelle. She chooses quietness, reading, listening to music, and trying to not get notice and blend in. Devon. Been avoiding Noelle or El as he used to call her because of a harmful secret. But she believes that he ditched her to be one of "them". The only person she talks to is a mystery guy, who sits on the other side of the tree on 86th Street. Will she ever overcome the fear and look behind the tree, the person she's been talking to for three years ever since she started high school. He's helped her through everything...who could it be? He could be anybody and nobody. She spends her days flipping through the pages and hitting the play button on her music playlist. He could be there but not emotionally...or tree.

"Let's get you nice and warm." Seated by the fire, the child's eyes were drawn to the book resting against the tree. With a pointed finger, he indicated his desire for a story. The man smiled kindly. "Well then, let's dive into some tales, shall we?"
