They had stole her from her parents and experimented on her by mixing her DNA with a butterflies DNA.  Her name was Xonic, and she was also programed to fight as a more evolved soldier for the army. She broke out and left into the wild, becoming friends with natures creatures. Xonic also stayed on a strange, u discovered island and meets people like her (People with wings)

She learns that she is one of the few that feel the ferliobog species' pain, one of the few that can communicate and hopefully save a misunderstood species. A gentle creature, that means no harm and only retaliates to protect itself, turns her world upside down and sets her on a journey of self discovery and character testing. An encounter with a special type of people sparks a determination that cannot be swayed, and from then on she vows to protect and to help the creatures, before things get out of hand. Will she be too late to save both humans and ferliobogs? Or will one species die out at the expense of the other?

So she helped them escape, and stayed behind for a reason unknown. But when high school starts and she has to stay home the first day because of experiments something changes. Her scientific 'parents' want to do a routine test but Shane injects herself accidentally with adrenaline. stupid of her really but her parents inject her with something. this was the last straw for her as the pai became too much for her. when she goes to school the next day she is different. it's noticeable to anyone and especially to the guy that bullies her everyday. what does she do when she see's her bullies girlfriend cheating on him? what will she do when she sees bruises on him? what does she do when she starts to change into a horrible being that only wants one thing?
