Catrin Paisley Smith is a 14 year old girl and already her life has been turned upside down. Her 29 year old mother is raising Catrin on her own, after her dad up and left ten years ago. Now Cat's a rebel, graffiti is her thing, not just that but she also has a few attitude problems. Her mother is having trouble dealing with her and has no idea how Cat turned out the way she did, she's just about ready to give up hope, when Justin comes along and changes not just Cat's life, but also his own.
Justin Bieber has just turned 17. He's famous and he knows that being a world-wide singer has it's disadvantages. One of them being the paparazzi. One ordinary day -for Justin- turns into a nightmare in just a few seconds, but along with bringing him strife, it brought him Catrin. She doesn't seem like the kind of girl he'd particularly think he'd like, but looks can be deceptive. Cat teaches Justin how important life really is, she shows him the meaning of happiness and sadness and possibly even love.
