I started this book after a walk to the park with my then three-year-old son. He ran ahead of me and hid in the bushes as we made our way through the car park and that small moment of panic not knowing where he was, has in fact given way to an epic story of just how far a mother would go to find her missing child. We joked with eachother, Samuel and I as we played that afternoon, pretending that goblins would kidnap him in the bushes. As I am both a parent and a writer, sometimes I see opportunities in my life to live out the fantasies in my mind and have some fun with my kids while I do it. I'm also a passionate community services worker, an avid reader and this journey to becoming a published author and bringing my book babies to life is indescribably fulfilling.
