Science Officer Brent and Medical Officer Kelley are tasked with discovering who — or what — is picking off colonists from their expeditionary settlement on the seeming Eden of this alien planet. But science and logic are no match for their rapacious nemesis, as they race to find a solution before their colony becomes unviable and the unthinkable becomes reality.
