My name is Simone and I have been in a serious love/hate relationship with my job for the last five years. I am a photographer in a private photo studio onboard a cruise ship, a job that has turned me into somewhat of a cynic after everything I have seen, heard and unfortunately been through. SO instead of living up to my name, Mona, I decided to write about my experiences. These last five years have given me a lot of honest poetry, two novels and a work in progress 'tell all' book titled "This book will get me into a lot of trouble". Today I would like to share some of my poetry accompanied by my photography with you hoping that it will awaken something in the person reading it. 
I write about things that everyone will or have felt at some point in their lives. Things that are both heart-wrenchingly unfortunate or breathtaking beautiful with just a little hint of sarcasm. I write to show how irrefutably powerful emotions can be and how selfish and selfless people can be. Reading something that a complete stranger wrote but somehow feeling so close to that person by sharing the same gains or losses is a pretty powerful thing. Something I consider to be, at the risk of sounding cliche, very close to magic. I would like to provide someone with my magic when they read my work.Seluruh Hak Cipta Dilindungi Undang-Undang

*Completed* "I just want to know why." I say as I turn over, trying to find his figure through the dark of my room. "Why what?" He asks. "Why you're being so nice to me." I say quietly, vulnerability seeping into my words. "How we even became friends." He sighs, "I want to know how." I scrunch my brow. "How what?" His response is soft, the opposite of his sarcastic personality. "How you don't see it." ******* Reagan Holt was about as average as a high school student could be. She didn't play any sports, didn't participate in the popular activities, and wasn't the girl all the boys chased after. All except one boy. He wrote her a letter every week. Each letter described something new for him to love about her. Whether it was how beautiful her laugh was or how his heart swelled with every smile she gave, he never failed to write how he felt. So the two should be together, right? That's the way Reagan wants it, but there's just one problem. He signs his letters "Love, Anonymous." Now add an obnoxious, conceited, sex god into the equation and you get a teenage girl confused on who really loves her. This is just a sliver of my chapter that is a part of this world's grand narrative; it's about one person's toe dipping into the brokenness of the Earth, and the ripples, waves, tsunamis it created in her life. A couple of months ago, while consoling a friend grieving the loss of a relationship, he asked me a question no one had ever asked me before. A very vulnerable and powerful question. I had been sharing some of my own similar experiences with him when he messaged me that life changing question, "And, what did you see at the top of the mountain?" While his words were just letters on a screen, I could see the hunger in his eyes, hear the desperation in his voice, sense the overwhelming thirst of a person climbing up an incredibly steep and treacherous mountain. What did I see at the top of the mountain? This book is my answer to this question. Let's go for a hike.

As soon as his lips met mine I felt a shock flow through my whole body. My heart pounded in my chest and my knees got weaker.

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. One day though, they feel their tattoos start to tingle. ____________________________________ *Will they be happy with who their soulmate turns out to be? *Will they recognize each other? *Will they be happy? *Will they break apart? -Read to find out. :) ____________________________________ This book is rated mature because there is a lot of talk of depression and self harm.
