"What next?" His bottom lip quivers.
"I don't know," I reply. My own voice shakes. We are the last two. There's only one winner.
"What did we do to get here?" His eyes are full of fear. We both turn to face the arena.
"I guess it's fate."

This is literally the worst thing I have ever written. If you're reading this you have something better to do with your time. Programs have been enslaved for five millennia and have come to believe they're machines. They kill without consequence and always do as they're told.
