Long ago the Mer-people lived happily underneath the oceans until their Queen fell in love with a human. 

       She got pregnant for him. But her people found out and condemned her, she was dethroned and cast out of the kingdom for doing the forbidden. Having no where else to go, she went above water (when above water Mer-people have legs but only those that have been to land know of this.) to live with the father of her child. In nine months she gave birth to a son who had legs she named him Sasuke and gave him to his father before going back to the ocean to try and reason with her people but she was captured and locked up. 

    In her absence a new king and Queen from a different family had been appointed. 
And they had a daughter named Sakura.
