Seven days...that's the key word here... Seven days until a nuclear bomb drops in America that will cause the entire world to be covered in radioactive chemicals. Seven days until the world will be forced to survive, rather than live. Every capital from each country started building a quarantine for their people after the 'rumor'. Quarantine #4 is located in London. Michelle, also known as Minx, lives in Cornwall. She hears the news and immediately tries to evacuate on foot. Minx has to drive/fly/walk/ or even swim to London. From Cornwall to London in 7 days while the world is in chaos. She has to jump over obstacles throughout her journey, making sure that nothing slows her down. 227 miles... 7 days...to reach London. Will she arrive in London in 7 days while going through chaos? Or... Will she be forced to watch everything she loved, be destroyed right in front of her eyes?Complete

The new world has slowly become something less frightening and more infuriating. Red paints every road, lurks behind every door, and speaks to you in a sickening way. Even so, you love. At the very least, you need to love, our minds cry out for quiet moments, for even a second spent admiring a beautiful landscape. We can't allow ourselves to be defeated here, and luckily I've found a group that understands that. I believe that, for the first time in a long while, I feel at home.

Zombies were said to be impossible, that they'd never happen, well obviously whoever said that had underestimated human curiosity. It started with the melting of the Poles, which uncovered diseases that hadn't been seen in millennia. Obviously, when a flesh-eating parasitical virus was found, scientists in all their glory decided to study it, which led to the greatest calamity in human history. Warning: This is the original book 1, it is now considered more of a prelude/building character relationships arc than a book. This provides backstory and sets the foundation for the characters and their relationships. Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes. Finding real comfort starts to feel impossible, as her most available options are her ex-boyfriend and her assistant. Completed! Rejected 6 times** "This one just isn't for us." His main threats will be hunger, the cold, disease, and of course, other survivors still in the city. Will this new world break him, or will he adapt to it?
