Nick noticed that his best friend/Drumline Captain, Harriet, hasn't been showing up to rehearsals lately. After discovering that she has quit Marching Band all together, Nick confronts Harriet at her home to find out why she's decided to throw it all away.
(This is an excerpt on a novel I've been working on. Not sure if I will continue with it, thought this little sneak-peak might let me know if it's something worth pursuing.)
