From Baia, Russia to deep within the lush forests of Montana, young Viktoria Belikov travels to study at the one and only St. Vladimir's Academy. Having been fed up with the rebellious teenager's actions as of late and fearful that her daughter will eventually give into Moroi men and become a blood whore, the Belikov's mother found no choice but to send her youngest daughter to live in the academy with her guardian brother Dimitri.
