After stranding on an alien planet, Daniel gets captured by massive wolf-like creatures. He must overcome an unusual language barrier - the aliens communicate by smell - in order to make a new home. The young alien Theran is seeking his place in life. The two of them get lost in a hostile jungle, where they must learn to work together in order to survive, and save the people they care about.
