Charlie would laugh at their ignorance, their inability to see how damaged and stupid the world truly is. That is till she meets the new principal of her high schools son, the ever so cheerful Jamie a.k.a. Jem. When these two opposite teens are forced to write a novel together for a school project, Charlie will learn just how wrong she was about the world and the people who live inside it.
