For her 8th birthday, Princess Leliana Leander was presented with a young kitsune named Raii, an orphan from a war ravaged yokai village.  

Nearly a decade later, the Princess prepares to enroll into the Leander Military Academy and brings the Kitsune along to act as servant and bodyguard.

Within the shadows of the academy, a plot stirs that may threaten more than the princess and her pet, but also the entire kingdom.  Allegiances will be tested, sins uncovered and sides chosen.  When the flames of war finally subside, will the two find themselves standing together once more?
