*Steven Universe Fanfiction*

Earth a planet that humans lived on and the rebels we grew to love, the Crystal Gems. I had moved to Beach City when I was younger. I manged to live on my own until I was about fifteen, that's when I met a young boy and the Crystal Gems themselves. I knew a few things about them, since they had saved the city from being destroyed many times. I didn't know that me meeting them would changed my life in so much. I'm not even sure if I regret it or not. But I know nothing will be the same.

There was death on all sides: Homeworld, the Rebels, humans, all were subjected to the cruel fate of war. For a time, this is what these Gems would do, travel to a planet, destroy all of its biological life, and harvest the planet for it's resources. Such was their way of being: Life, Death, War and Birth. -------------- In the late 90's, the American government secretly unearths advanced machinery, deemed of "alien origin," and aims to weaponise it for their own gain. Their best minds struggle to decipher it however, and the project is shelved within Area 51 due to it being "too advanced." for the current minds. One man however, brings together a secret division of scientists, with the sole purpose of "making the world a better place". -------------- Fast forward to the year of 2013, and a young boy in a star shirt is rushing down the boardwalk while talking to three multicoloured women. This boy, as known by pretty much everyone in the town, was Steven Universe. After catching his breath slightly, Steven notices an older boy stealing a loaf of bread from a nearby grocery store. Determined to stop the apparent "criminal behaviour", Steven rushes into action, startling his three female companions, and soon all four are chasing the older boy.

This story is a Steven Universe fan fiction that wants to create an alternative point of view on the original show without changing the canon events. For that, I use big amounts of speculation to fill the gaps the show left when it ended. The action is presented in short chapters and is told almost entirely told from my original characters perspective, the one of gems, and some other alien races, curious about their existance, their origins, and their possibilities beyond serving their superiors. I assume you've seen the cartoon before reading this fanfiction. Beware of the spoilers if you haven't seen all Steven Universe, the Movie, and Future.

Unfortunely, this was short lived, because one day, this planet was attacked, and half of it's population murdered by the forces of the being you grew to hate more than the Diamonds. Ever since that happened, you went back to your old way of life and started to live a life of a mercenary, never really stayed anywhere for a long period of time, and practically isolated yourself from everyone, except for a few exceptions, one of them being Shi'ra, a space huntress you grew to love as your own sister. However, everything may change for you when you receive a contract from a man known as the Collector bring him a certain gem from the Earth. Steven looks different compared to when he was kid, but after white diamond removed his gem he began to notice that something wasn't quite right so he went to the mirror and look at whats different and to his surprise, his hair was turning pink but thats not all he noticed, his Gem...it began to rotate to that of a diamond so he did the only thing he could think of, he went to the diamonds about this, so say they were shocked was an understatement, so white diamond began to explain that maybe when she removed his gem, the gem itself began to make changes because your human half can't take the diamond powers that are showing so it maybe changing you to be a half-Diamond, steven understood that his gem was only doing what it thought was protecting him. So he just let it happen even though it was hurting when his gem was rotating but white diamond said that it might take awhile for it to rotate. So he was just walking around in pain but doesn't let it affect him and he didn't tell the gems of the new changes yet.
