"Hi mom," John whispered.

"Sorry, I don't 'ave any flowers." He sighed trying to hold back the wave of tears he so desperately wanted to let out, "I- I forgot."

He stared at the ground for a few minutes when a tear fell down his cheek. And another one, and another, until he couldn't hold it in anymore and started to sob burying his head in his hands.
