I wrote this one-shot as a sort of challenge on another website. The challenge question was this; 'Were Snape to live during DH, describe how he and Hermione would reunite.' This is what I came up with. Snape couldn't hide his flinch as his eyes refused to be torn away from the bruise and it was hard to tell whether it was her predicament or the term itself that disturbed him more.
