Nine years in a place like St. Elizabeth's Institute For Troubled Children can do terrible things to your mind. This is a story about a "troubled" child, how she sees the world she lives in, and the world she's locked away from, the one beyond the walls of the Institute.

After waking up Christmas morning at eight years old with no parent, Elizabeth was shipped to foster care. Growing up in the system, she gets out at eighteen. After forcing herself to attend college for being a private investigator, she gets a case similar to her childhood. Memories of how happy she was with her parents hit her, hard, and her curiosity gets the best of her, and she ends up back where she grew up. She runs into people she knows, and finds a clue that there's more to her story than what she was told.
